1) Other than lifetime earnings, the last major dollar record
held by the Stones is $9.4 million gross per show for No Filter.
I thought that record was untouchable (U2 2nd place $6.9 million
for The Claw), but Swift might break it.
2) Beatlemania lasted like 4 years I guess. I'm talking about
the screaming girls phase. Swiftmania has easily doubled that
now, with no signs of abating. These fans of hers are often
past 30 years old now, but like Swift herself, they are frozen
in their early 20s. What's funny is that even her younger teenage
fans sorta start out thinking theyre 21 and just stay at that age.
3) If you can stomach the first 20 or 30 minutes of this fan
vlog of the first two shows, you'll learn a lot about the
mentality of these child-women...
4) If you can't, I'll cut to the chase for you. This is the
message of all Swift's songs: "Narcissistic men are the
greatest evil in the world. And the only solution is to
become a completely narcissistic woman." And its a
message that sells
bigly. Unfortunately.
5) Their poor husbands (if they ever get one). Their poor sons
(if they ever bear one). DPFL. Disney Princesses For Life.
6) So I would say that the artist that Taylor Swift most reminds
me of is Oprah Winfrey. Plenty of talent, yes. But its mostly just
a clever hardworking woman hustling her vulnerable followers.
7) So is it essentially a cult? In a subtle way, sorta. In the sense
that the only real beneficiary of the dispensed "wisdom" is
the leader herself
