His enthusiasm jumps off the page and he has taken an approach I think we all wished for. But for a die hard, a couple things seem odd. How did he not know how Mick and Keith met? Casual fans know that, let alone us die hards. Also, Elton John's piano is not very Nicky Hopkins. Perhaps Billy Preston, but Nicky Hopkins was a much more melodic type of player, not the type Elton John is playing here - at least on Stones records.

Elton doesn't even get a mention by Mick on the actual album like Paul and Stevie do. He could have said something like "Tinkle those keys Elt".

Elton won't care.  He'll have been paid regardless.

Some of the reports out there seem to indicate Reg kind of pushed his way in through Watt and Ronnie. The Twins may have resented that. Maybe why he is so low in the mix on Sword.
