2) r-w, I've acknowledged the single could come before Oct 20.
I just ruled it out for Sep 22, Sep 29, and Oct 6 because of Gaga's
schedule. Oct 13 is definitely in play and, if I was being objective, it
would probably be my pick. But I just like the "shotgun blast" idea, of
us getting riddled with the single, the vid, the doco, and the album all
at once, so we are left flattened and scrambling to make sense of it all.

3) ian, yes, i am dead serious about the new SuperGroup being
announced on Oct 20 as well. In fact, I'm so serious I've had to
start a new rumor that they are still hung up on the issue of
whether their name will be "GagaStones" or "StonesGaga".
Thankfully, "LadyStones" has been ruled out.

One of Anita Stevens' tricks was that on those rare occasions when she
was actually giving you some straight advice, she would couch it in an
sarcastic attitude, sorta like "Can you believe that some people actually
believe this horseshit?", and then she'd lay a big truth on you. If you
were ready, you'd hear it. If you weren't, you'd shake your head and
laugh at the idea and it would slide on by you...

So this is one of her big truths: That we all expend tons of
psychological energy hiding the truth about ourselves from ourselves.
And that if, through psychoanalysis, we can discover and accept those
repressed inner truths and emotions, we will free up enormous amounts
of creative energy (libido). It will just flow, so you can, for instance,
if you feel like it, just effortlessly stream out imaginative content on
a Stones fan website, while you're waiting for some crazy half-Maori
half-Egyptian grandma to finally move her ass in here with me.
(Christ, seeing that last sentence in print makes me think maybe
i don't know how lucky i am its a part-time thing)

Anyway, Mick i believe went through psychoanalysis with Stevens
in the mid 1960s when it was still fashionable. He probably breezed
through it, like he does everything else, in a matter of months.
For me, it was like years of root canal surgery, without anesthetic.

Keith did NOT go through psychoanalysis with Stevens. He was there
for only three reasons: To beat the rap in Toronto, to get off smack,
and to get back to work asap. Stevens figured out that the only way
to accomplish these goals was to turn him from being a junkie into
an alkie. More than that and he would've had to be away from work
for a long time...

(to be clear, no matter how much psychological energy Keith
might have wasted in self-deception, he still had enough left
over to invent the music that changed everything. That's why
I fully support Mick's and Stevens' judgement that Keith's genius
was too fucking unique to have him tied up in dry dock for years)
