and the pre-tour biz, buzz and rumors started about 6 mos before that... the album was still being mixed and finished in june of 05... nothing was really done until 05... so, they could be following the same timeline... tour arrangements late this year, album writting to begin in early 2010. Then announcement, rehearsals, and final mixing of album....this is the norm for most bands today, and considering it's the Stones... These guys have been doing this for so long... dudes are tired!

We just have to wait till they're goddamned good and ready, LJ. Last tour was looong, so they need a long break. And they're not kids anymore. We've been very fortunate up to this point. I know I've gotten more than I ever thought I would. But if we're lucky enough to get another tour, I'll be grateful - and we'll have front row seats, baby!

They didnt tour for three years. They toured from September 2005 - November 2006 (about 110 shows in 14 months), took over 6 months off and then played 30 shows in Europe in just under 3 months.

Not exactly a punishing schedule by anyone's standards, and certainly not when you're commuting by private jet and staying in luxury.

In another 6 weeks, two years will have passed in which the Stones havent played a single concert or spent one day together in a recording studio - their only activity being about four movie premieres.

At this stage in their career, its not exactly sensible to take so much time off between tours. Unfortunately, this band seems totally incapable of doing anything which isnt on a massive scale. Its either a feast or a famine.

They will tour next year though.

KEEP THE FAITH PEOPLE! Unless one of them drops dead, there will be another tour! The boys will put something out, and we'll see Stones magic again! I worry about their health and ages, but they ALL seem fit in the various pics we've seen. KEEF in Venice and fishing Martha's Vineyard, Charlie playing gigs in the UK, Ronnie out in LA, and flying to London for his nre clothing designs, pics of him everywhere with Ekat, and MICK building his Chelsea home with L'wren. Our boys are still healthy and looking great, but they are spending some time enjoying their private lives since touring puts their lives on hold. Its a big sacrifice being on the road for long periods of time, even if it is luxurious.
