The economic "downturn" is not conducive. there are 6 million people laid off in this country including me. Plus I don't know has Mick recovered from the last 3 years of touring? fucking tiresome if you ask me. They should downsize imo

The economic climate sucks. No way they'll tour.

Plus they're old. Really old.

we're not promised a new tour every other year

we've just been spoiled since 89 with the amount of touring they've done. Especially the last 2 tours. They were very extensive and lasted longer than anyone thought they would.

we should be thankful for that

Other bands depend on touring to pay the bills. Not everyone can afford to just not work.

Other bands are taking reduced paychecks.

Other bands aren't charging $454 for tickets. In fact, some are selling tix for as low as $5 because they would rather play to a full house and generate some good will among the fans to bank for future tours.

We may not see another tour again or maybe even a 4-6 month world tour with dates only in the strongest markets.

Of course, for all we know there could be other factors other than just economics preventing a tour.

Of course it's *possible*. They could do anything they want. But Jagger/Cohl has, since '89, been locked into the same mindset -- major North American tour beginning in late summer, followed by major European tour the next summer, with Australia and Japan in between. The No Security tour of arenas in '99 was the first and last time they tried something different. What a concept!
