Yes, it was the Stones only performance there.

The festivals actual name was The Jazz and Blues festival - Windsor being the location at the time.

The event relocated several times and by the mid-1970's, found itself in Reading.

The event is now simply known as the Reading Festival.

btw, The Yardbirds performed there in 1965

That crowd looks a bit stuffy eh?

Can't imagine sitting down at a Stones show.

Like watching Shine a Light.

I think that's a gal with her arms up.

Tip of the day:
Ask a guy to look at his fingernails, he will always curl his fingers and look with his palm facing up.
Ask a girl to look at her fingernails, she will always stretch out her fingers and look at the top of her hand.

Comes in handy when a particularly androgynous person tries to pick you up up in a bar. Blank Frigging Stare

1964 ~ that was 44 fvcking years ago!! It's truly amazing when you think about it, the RS were there at the beginning of the music scene, true legends, and I admire their longevity! They were so young and cute, lol, now wrinkled but better with age.

LOL Stuffy? The guys in the front (which is all you can see) look absolutley bored.
Then again maybe they're just awestruck and meditating on the historic event transpiring before their very eyes.
You rock!
