I think anyone who hasn't made up their mind by now should forget about it and focus on earning that elusive GED instead. I'm still sorry it isn't a Clinton/Obama ticket but the principles she stood for won't be seen in a McCain/Palin ticket, so it's Obama/Biden all the way for me.

Palin was a choice that was meant to:

1. Sway some of the Hillary supporters who either chose not to vote based on her not winning or
were on the fence about the whole situation.

2. Bring a fresh face, look, and appeal to a dying party in terms of enthusiasm and political culture.
The GOP was pretty stale and anymore the perception of the GOP was a bunch of old rich white dudes
who didn't even know how to send an email.

Palin INSTANTLY within two weeks time freshened all that up and turned it completely around and completed both of the aforementioned objectives! In TWO WEEKS TIME mind you she did all that.

Now, the only thing that she needs is a bit more experience and more knowledge. However these are two very critical aspects to any politicians arsenal. In addition if you take away her good looks, and general "likability" she falls quite short. Any republican would have to admit that her good looks and likable charm by far exceed her true abilities for right now. If she was an overweight 64 year old haggard looking woman would the world view her as she is viewed by some right now? If this election was three or four years from now and she had ample time to prepare she would be perfect.

However it isn't. It is right now. A hot, fresh faced chic with an out of the ordinary, yet strangely ordinary "down home" twist may only go so far. The question is ...is it far enough to win the election? It could be, or maybe not. I won't lie....I have no idea who I am voting for yet or what the outcome of this election will be.

We will see.

They underestimated the intelligence of Hillary supporters then. No one who truly understood and believed in Hillary's platform would be so shortsighted. I was disappointed she didn't win the nomination too, but there is far more at stake here than bruised egos.

Remarks like these are tasteless. Similar to Cankles, etc. Pointless as well. The looks or sex appeal, or lack thereof, of the candidates is irrelevant, and its especially misplaced when discussing female candidates. That's just the way it is. Its a god thing, with the fairer sex and all that.

Intelligence is different, because humans have some degree of control over how dumb they are, even if god screwed them on IQ. Palin seems intelligent enough, just naive and sheltered - she's from Alaska, ffs.

I've said this before. I'll say it again.

I am in hate with Sarah Palin. I cannot think of someone I despise more at the moment. That woman assaults - nay, violates - my senses. That anyone could take her at all seriously is a truly disturbing thought. Just the fact that she's on a major political ticket scares me. Having McCain elected would be like seeing the death of my country. But in the event that Ms. Palin somehow finds herself at the top?
