Well, I realize this is primarily a Rolling Stones/Music message board but I figured I would let you guys know in case any of you didn't get the news yet. Obama picked Sen. Joe Biden as his running mate.

Biden's a liability to the ticket I think. Not that I really care as, I'll vote for a third party guy, as usual. It ought to be a real fun election though if one appreciates the art of personal attack ads and dirty, hateful, bottom of the barrel politics. But I guess it's always been like that.... to a certain degree. Lee Atwater must be smiling down from heaven.

18 million people cast their vote for Hillary Clinton, making this nomination one of the closest in history.
The media bias FOR Obama was/is disgusting.

The fact the she was not even CONSIDERED as a possible Vice Presidential Candidate is a major slap in the face to those of us who supported her.

Call it a hissy fit, but Obama is NOT getting my vote and McCain is!!!!!!!!! McCain is not my favorite but he is ready to lead. Your man is NOT, imhfo.

Ask yourself why you supported Hillary in the first place. Was it because you backed her positions on the issues or just because she is a woman? Was it a reasoned decision or mere identity politics? Because if you care about the issues that Hillary has devoted her life to fighting for, you'll take a deep breath and get behind the candidate whose positions are closest to hers: Barack Obama.

What I don't get is why they keep slapping Hillary in the face. She's like the long-suffering wife whose hubby dumps her for a secretary. If Romney had won the primaries & then treated McCain like this, the media would be all over it. He opted for the candidate won 9000 votes & didn't even consider the woman who almost beat him. He's stupid & this is surprisingly early evidence of that. I don't know enough about Gov. Palin but I also like Kay Hutchinson from TX. It's imperative that McCain act wisely here.
