There was a little hyperbole in there but while in law school, Obama wrote a book that included admissions of drug use.

As for hating whitey, check some of the sermons and church publications from Obama's church for 20 years.

Love seeing Willard Romney get tossed into trivia file.  His whole life's work/goal busted up - all those years, posing around, trying to grease his way into whatever box he thought his audience was in, muffing around as a quasi-liberal for years as governor of Massachusetts (at least the days he showed up), all for zip.  He's 61, and now has to wait it out 8 years before he gets another shot, by which time he's as interesting as that Law & Order guy or John Edwards.  And for a member of his cult to get buttered up and then skunked by a regular guy like McCain - ouch, that has to hurt!  Where's your messiah now, Flanders?  Goofballs......

I don't agree with Rev. White, but I don't begrudge him his views or dismiss Obama's choice in his friendship and ties to the man. A man stands on his on actions, and be those success or failure, we can't in life take credit for what someone else does. You're trying really hard to make a case, and your case always comes down to something someone else said, not Obama.If you put this much effort into supporting McCain, he might actually win...

Okay, so I have two soundbites that are indicative of a man who views whites as "typical" and greedy.

And he was/is a member of the Church of Rev. Wright,
which has a world view that, among other things, whites are keeping blacks down economically.

Maybe he is not as vocal as Wright, but I think his views are pretty clear.

My grandmother said the same exact words and acted the same way. He spoke a personal truth, that I related to with direct life experience. and she didn't even know it. The Republicans were instrumental in the passage of both the '64 and '65 voting and civil rights legislation that LBJ was unable to get through because of people like Democrat Robert Byrd.

The point was Barack used the words "typical white person" -- that is the racism I am referring to.
If McCain or any other republican ever used the words "typical black person" would you feel the same.

The word "typical", is this what bothers you. Is this like when black people getting angry when you say "those" people. Both have become punchlines, and shown for what they are... The typical white person of that time, rode in the front of the bus, and the typical black person rode the back of the bus. The word typical isn't the problem...
We can continue a debate over semnatics and what not for the next 2 months. I have to ask you, are you willing to drop the hate, for the good of your country? I made an example a few days ago, when Rifyy quoted Clinton. Riffy has also flat out called Bill clinton a rapist. If I did what you did with that, i could character asssinate Riffy to death, and I wouldn't really be lying, but it would be misleading, and eventualllly people might think he's commited some sex crime or something. That shit is lame, really fucking lame!!!
Barrack Obama has no been shown to speak racist comments, you did do what I asked. Sadly it is like when other world leaders have quoted evil people throughout history.
I guess it's no wonder you suport Bush he would get Bin Laden, dead or alive. Sounds good, he didn't do shit, it was just words. So, we see how much semantics apply. Show me, I got ears, I wanna see action.

When it was pointed out to me, Obama was involved with Rev. Wright, i slowly began to consider the argument, he had made poor choices, had poor judgement. When it was taken to a level of vitriol, and you people are blind to it, and made out to be a much larger accusation and a commentary on people who support him, I put it all into context.
Rev. Wright's hate and say Riffy's hate, are the same to me. So niether one is going to make my life better acting like they do, I can only try to understand their anger as best I can, and move on...
I'm still waiting for McCain to win me back... At least i'm open minded. Most people are so sure of themselves, they won't be open minded even if it meant a humbling to actually save themselves and country. They put foolish pride before patriotism. and that my friends, is a character flaw and an example of really poor judgement. although, it is just my opinion.
