I initially thought it was Reeves Gebrels because he always gets these unique and amazing sounds out of his guitar, but when you see him, he's just basically playing lead. So I think it must be Mike Garson on keyboards.

Could be keyboards through some distortion and a talk box. To me it sounds like a talkbox/tube

Dave Greenslade (Colosseum, Greenslade) used a clavinet with a talkbox on his fist solo album
