ROLLING STONES

CREATIVE: Paulina Almira

CLIENT: Rolling Stones
ROLE: 2D Illustration, Album Design

Rolling Stones brand new studio album Hackney Diamonds
To be announced Sept 2023 & Released Oct 2023 - The overriding theme of the album
is based on relationships, with ongoing references of broken glass and harsh elements

...

Paulina Almira is a graphic designer and digital illustrator from the Philippines.
Her dreamlike arrangements combine elements of technology, fashion, and the
natural world to build surreal, playful compositions with retro-futurism as an
overarching theme.

CLIENTS
Times Square Arts, Nike, Vogue SG, Vice Magazine

......
......

I think young merch-buyers are gonna LOVE Paulina

But what about the other market segments the Stones will be aiming at?

Who might be among the other graphic artists doing cover art for the other versions?

I've got a definite  idea about one of them...

Ronald David Wood ! Of course!

I think that's what Ronnie's fragmental preview was all about last week...

(front and rear cover, like Black and Blue)

...

And if you are willing to pay a big price for Paulina's or Ronnie's (or any of the
3 others) signed/numbered vinyl editions, you will even be able to get the album
early! Here's how...

At the pop-up shop opening soon on Mare St  in Hackney

...

The question will become:  Are you willing to destroy the collectible value of your
special vinyl copy with special shrink wrap that cost 250 pounds in order to hear
the songs a few weeks before the formal October release date?

Hee hee! Wicked!

In the same Hackney neighborhood is the historic Hackney Empire theatre

That's where the first of the four PPV promo gigs will be ! (they've broadcast
music shows from there recently)

...

...

(London, the Hackney. Nashville, the Opry. NYC, the Beacon. LA, the Fonda.
17 songs each gig, no repeats (except maybe the lead single), special price if you
buy all four PPVs)

I'm a bit, like, deaf, but even a bit, like, demented after the loooong wait, but I think I heard a tiny, tiny rumourette  that they are rendezpohewing in a timy rota in a deep forest in Finland to add the touching Finnishes to their latest concepts, well  sick licks, and ancient trousers.

The last album of new material was released the day before my very own Glimmer Twins were born.
Who would have thought, ABB, (and my girls) would be eligible to vote before the next studio release...SMH

Nobody forget the nine tracks they did in Jamaica, mostly cover songs.
It will be the genre on the album with by far the most original artists
as guests. Thank you, Keith.

Mighty Diamonds

P.S. Footnote to a post earlier in this thread...

Oliver Anthony’s ‘Rich Men North of Richmond’ Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100

According to the singer/songwriter, "The hopelessness and frustration of our
times resonate in the response to this song. The song itself is not anything special,
but the people who have supported it are incredible and deserve to be heard.”

No label. No agent. Recorded on a shoestring. One man, one guitar.

And the success of this song is not irrelevant to the Stones' new album.
People are starving for truth, which is what Mick and Keith will be
bringing. At long last, its the right time

1) Thank you for your great insight, SW

And, for argument's sake, let's take your "insight" as a proven fact.
Okay, the song is shit. Hell, even Oliver says its not very good.

Then how, without a label, without radio play, without anyone ever
having heard of him before, has it done 35 million views in 2 weeks,
blowing away even Taylor Swift, who is being pushed down everyone's
throats twice an hour on the biggest stations? While the media paints
Oliver's song as dangerous garbage?

Why is the song reducing working African-American adults to tears?
Urban blacks and country whites uniting behind a poor troubled redbeard?

Everyone, no matter what you think about the song, should be taking
a moment to consider what the hell is going on. Is the matrix cracking?

2) I have taken a moment to consider such things. And the matrix is cracking.
And that's the only reason we're getting a new Stones album...

Let's start with a newly released FACT

hackneydiamonds.com was registered on Wednesday, 26th of April 2023
[www.WhatsMyDNS.net] and is owned by Universal Music Operations Ltd.

This is the smoking gun that proves that nearly all of you were living in the matrix
when you believed all that horseshit about a springtime tour announcement and
album, and Mick's ankle injury, and a summer tour/album.  It was all, as I made
clear at the time, the type of marketing known as misdirection. They didnt even
have a name for the album until the end of April

And the other totally retarded thing everybody believed, and many still believe,
was that the Stones were having trouble coming up with 12 songs. One listen
to "Fully Finished Outtakes" should have blown up that misconception instantly,
but no. Instead, one "genius" fan after another: Duh. Mick say Stones have
trouble making music. So it must be true.

You've all just witnessed our manipulated markets crush Foo Fighters, Metallica,
U2, and Dylan. I told you there was no way the Stones would do a standard
release in such an environment. And its already not a standard release, and there's
so much more marketing fun to come...

The Stones are doing their job. Now its up to y'all...

Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery
None but ourselves can free our minds
