I along with many other Stones fans have long appreciated the 1969 American tour, including the in-concert Madison Square Garden recordings that became Get Yer Ya Yas Out! We feel that it is long overdue that Abkco/the Stones organization release ALL three of the MSG shows via a boxed set (along with any professional concert footage shot by the Maysles not included in Gimme Shelter edited for a COMPLETE concert to be included with this package). All of us who were behind this petition feel that this would be a much sought after release, not just for hard core Stones fans, but for consumers who appreciate great quality music from the 1960's era. An active petition went on-line yesterday. Our goal is to acquire as many signatures as possible, and then we will forward this petition to Abkco and the Stones organization. We would greatly appreciate your signatures and any publicity and/or support you can offer to make this audio/video box set a reality. Many, many Stones fans feel this is a worthwhile cause to pursue. As the saying goes: Nothing ventured, nothing gained! Please tell any Stones fans you know about this petition! Thank you.

Good luck with this venture!!

I hope you hang out here...we can use a few more passionate members and posts.

I think you will find this place a lot more fun, open and less restrictive than IORR.
A fine site, though I have my own thoughts on it, though in the spirit of unity between
Stone fans world wide, I will keep those to myself.
Its just different in here than there.

Thank you very much. I am really passionate about this proposal and I need all the help I can get in getting the word out to all the Stones fans on different boards. With so many Stones fans that are out there, it is hard to believe that we can't get a 1000 or so to sign! My goal is to present the petition to Abkco and the Stones organization but I can't do it with 80 just signatures! They need to see that there are people that want this product. So any help you or anybody else on this site can provide would be extremely appreciated!

I'm back on-line here this morning, not just to promote the proposal but to say hi and re-introduce myself to all the folks on this site. I posted here back in 2007 or 2008, so it has been a while. Anyway, long time Stones fan. Been into them since I was a teenager and saw my first concerts in the early 1970's. I have amassed a sizeable collection of Stones related items (which unfortunately cause issues with the Mrs. as she would like to get rid of all the clutter in our house) such as albums, CDs, books, magazines, rare concert and video recordings, etc. As far I'm concerned the Stones were/are the Greatest Rock and Roll Band on the planet Earth!
PS- Don't know if I was to re-introduce myself here or somewhere else on this site. If so, I will post again elsewhere!

Hi. I saw your post and I want to respond to it. In a perfect world, I would love to submit a petition between 1000-2000 signatures which I think is considerably low!
Now, some may look at that number and say, "Good luck with that Scott!!" lol
However, I have looked at several fan web-sites (including what's on Facebook) and all together, as you know, there are thousands of fans from all over the globe!!
So, i don't think it is out of the question to get a few thousand fans. I'm going to have monitor the petition to see what we get...if it fizzles out, I'll have to submit the petition with lower numbers.

While we are waiting for the Stones to “officially” announce a UK & European tour, our on-line petition has gotten a significant amount of traffic in the last 24 hour hours, thanks to word of mouth and your support!

Also, I would like to personally thank Rod Brakes of GuitarPlayer magazine for publishing a nice news article publicizing the petition. Here is the link below:
