Bad news about Charlie of course. He is 80. Cancel everything. Give refunds to those that want them. (Good Luck with that). Glad I waited to see if tour was gonna be cancelled (For another reason of course). Won't go to these shows if they happen. Just not interested without the Master of the High Hat not being there. Ridiculous. Call it a day and have SOME decorum. Why so difficult to know when to hang it up?. Setlist down to 15 songs....some guy behind the stage covering for Ron covering for Keith while Mick shouts instead of actually singing?....no thanks. Bill leaving was a huge blow, and this does it. And yea, this change would be permanent. Think Charlie is gonna say a year from now "Let's go on the road!"...please. It's done, over and out, finished...enjoy what it was and what they gave you...
I can tell this guy isn't necessarily trying to be rude to you guys but is clearly expunging his own frustration / dissapointment towards it all. I can see where he is coming from in the fact that he obviously cares for Charlie so greatly he just can't stand to see the show going on without him. As you guys have been saying, it's temporary or whatever, but sometimes you do have to look at the negative way things can go and accept it as reality before hand, incase things do go A-wal you were already prepared. It doesn't make the impact any less devistating when it does occur, but keeping it in mind will help soften the landing I suppose.
It can be a bit unnerving watching the days of old unravel before you to say the very least. And they are, and they will continue doing so.
Yes it sounds as a negative outlook but it is unfortunately the truth. All good things come to an end, but if you're stuck in your ways like I am, even after the all.. It'll be there with you.
Have you cherished nothing from afar?
