More sad news today. Reading now from a few sources online (Marcelo, Stonesdoug, etc) that James Phelge has passed away.

I know he had been ill for some time. His last twitter post 5 months ago mentioned that he had been ill for 9 months and needed kidney dialysis 3 times a week.

If his book 'Phelge's Stones' (also published as 'Nankering with the Stones' ) isn't in your collection, it really should be. It's an utterly hilarious account of his time living with Mick, Keith and Brian in Edith Grove in 1962-63.

RIP James.

Just been told that Ronnie Schneider, who managed the Stones' 1969 tour and the Altamont show and was executive producer of the 'Gimme Shelter' movie, passed away a few days ago.

He would have been 80 today.

He used to post on IORR quite a bit and was very good at interracting with the Stones' fanbase. He was kind enough to send me a copy of his book 'Out of Our Heads, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Me' when we plugged it on here a few years back.
