What a stupid day that was.

Had JUST checked into the hotel, and then the announcement comes that the show was cancelled!  

In fact...ha ha... this is funny, we had just purchased the laptop upon which I am typing this post!!  That's how old this thing is!

As I recall it was kinda overcast, and drizzly, like everyone's mood.

Drank half my cash and lost the other half in the casino and then, at 2am, found a place DEEP in Bally's that sold me what they claimed to be a "hot dog" -- one of those 7-11 type roller grillers that had sweated that frank down to a wrinkly, deep brown salted cased meat substance.  I ate it -- every drunken bite.

But I swear I still take antacid for that thing.

At least you recall the events of the night.

I remember nothing after being dropped off at Bally's by Mr and Mrs Sweet Virginia.

Could well have passed out in a stairwell.  

Did wake up in my room the next morning safe and sound; but with a trail of my clothing on the floor from the door to the bed.  

Good times!!!    

Didn't we drive you to Philly to catch your flight?

I remember a rock nearly broke through the windshield on the way to the airport.

Stupid weekend in AC....

We made the best of that weekend despite the cancellation.
Saturday was our anti-Stones day. No mention of the Band allowed.
We walked the Boardwalk, bought cheap sunglasses (for hangovers), found an Irish pub, drank in the Casinos, went to see that funky
70's Soul Train Band on Saturday night. That was the night you left the pizza box outside my door.

And yes, Nankyson you and Mrs Nanky drove me to Philly on Sunday to catch my flight.
Forgot about the rock hitting the window though.

But everyone else bolted early on Sat. Pdog, Mary, SV, scope, glencar. Gone.
Felt like the 5 of us were left to carry on and, as usual, WE DID!!!
