This is a great pic. Smiley I'm so glad to see that the card I had put on the grave {by a friend from Canada, who was there a few weeks ago} is still there and in good shape! Smiley It's the card up against the grave, to the right, directly above the red flowers. Many thanks to Water Dragon for providing this current picture for us! Smiley Kiss

I remember that day I read that Brian died so well, I was really upset, I was actually crying, I've been a Stones fan since '64, my Sister used to make a comment like "my God! this guy knows what they had for breakfast" in the sence that I idolized them & knew by reading magazines everything that I could find about them, at first I heard on radio that Brian left the Stones, I couldn't believe it! I thought it was the end of The Stones, I was living in Prince Edward Island (a Providence in Eastern Canada) at the time & not very much media coverage back then, not like today, I did catch the news about the Hyde Park concert, which I didn't have a clue about, the news was A Rolling Stone is remembered, & it showed very briefly Mick reading that poem, but I remember so well the time I heard Brian died.

I remember it very well. It was my boyfriend's birthday. And we were about 900 miles apart that day. So, that night he called, and I just remember saying, in a dull voice, "Brian Jones died on your birthday." Sad

Sad day. Horrible day. And the beginning of an amazing string of events, good and bad, that happened between July 3 and Aug. 15th. Just one thing after another. It was an incredible time period--an incredible summer.
