Title: Brian gravesite header...

This is a great pic. :) I'm so glad to see that the card I had put on the grave {by a friend from Canada, who was there a few weeks ago} is still there and in good shape! :) It's the card up against the grave, to the right, directly above the red flowers. Many thanks to Water Dragon for providing this current picture for us! :) :-*

I remember that day I read that Brian died so well, I was really upset, I was actually crying, I've been a Stones fan since '64, my Sister used to make a comment like "my God! this guy knows what they had for breakfast" in the sence that I idolized them & knew by reading magazines everything that I could find about them, at first I heard on radio that Brian left the Stones, I couldn't believe it! I thought it was the end of The Stones, I was living in Prince Edward Island (a Providence in Eastern Canada) at the time & not very much media coverage back then, not like today, I did catch the news about the Hyde Park concert, which I didn't have a clue about, the news was A Rolling Stone is remembered, & it showed very briefly Mick reading that poem, but I remember so well the time I heard Brian died.

I remember it very well. It was my boyfriend's birthday. And we were about 900 miles apart that day. So, that night he called, and I just remember saying, in a dull voice, "Brian Jones died on your birthday." :(

Sad day. Horrible day. And the beginning of an amazing string of events, good and bad, that happened between July 3 and Aug. 15th. Just one thing after another. It was an incredible time period--an incredible summer.
