getting back to the original thread topic.....I have all the solo efforts by MICK, KEEF & RONNIE, and IMHO RONNIE'S SOLO CD's are much better than MICK & KEEF'S!  RONNIE really has written a bunch of great songs. Some of my favorites:
Act Together******fvcking great tune!

GOOD POINT NAVIN,NICE TO SEE YOU BACK!

Thanks, yeah and it's good to be back...except that I never really left in the first place.  A quick look at my profile reveals 165 Days since joining...and with just 3 posts!

My date of joining the original rocksoff fourm was around early 2003, so its been more than 5 years being around and still "I'm new!!"  Think I got to post more often, instead of just "lurking around regularly" - hope that is the right term to use.

And finally, Mr. PERKS...it's nice to have you back too!!

Why not? When you are recovering from something or are trying to overcome something you must vent your anxiety, frustration, and emotions in other ways....be it working out, fencing, fishing, or whatever floats your boat. Ronnie needs to occupy himself, and his time with other things besides drinking/partying as long as he does not forget about his family. So it would actually be a benefit to him to start on a project or to try new things. In addition it would involve him in something with people close to him he enjoyed working with in the past so much in a new light. It would shed new light on his role in the band slightly for the writing/recording process. Ronnie is an artist. Artists write when they are happy, sad, angry etc. etc. So why not? Sure an artist can't write ALL the time. They can only write when they WANT to be it whatever state of mind they are in.

As far as  from a Rolling Stones point of view hell, it would be interesting at the very least. And as gazza said....if the songs are not coming out that great just ease off, or simply don't use those tracks.

I really don't think Ronnie would care if Keith and Mick didn't give him writing credits either. I think he would get the pleasure out of doing it. After all, he never bitched about the credit he never received on Dirty Work.

I think it would be an excellent idea for Ronnie.

This would work.....provided he's sober.....

How do you deduce from that 'rumour' that Keith has started anything outside of a bowel movement?

Having a meeting = "work has already been started" on an album. Inspired.

I said that at least Mick and Keith have already met and wrote together. This is NOT some fabrication or deduction.

Ronnie and Jo are getting on with their own things and each is going on with their lives for right now so... (as well Jo is supposedly filing for divorce so that's is that right now as you know). The Rolling Stones is certainly part of Ronnie's life so I think this has little to no effect on band decisions next year or right now. As far as the rumor of a band meeting next week to discuss recording/touring plans next year I do not know? We will have to wait and see if the meeting takes place. However a Swedish newspaper is printing it is going to happen. Who knows, maybe they are getting together to pick out Ronnie's coffin at the same time  .....Undecided (joking with all of you is all).

And thank you, Gazza - for turning me into a "Rocks Off Regular" automatically within just a few hours (or probably within a few minutes of that last post) - and despite my post count.
