I just read in Goldmine Magazine That one of  Chubby Checkers  Favorite Songs is  One by The Stones Blank Frigging Stare
As quoted  "So, what are some of Checker’s favorite songs? You might be surprised. “‘Hello Stranger’ (Barbara Lewis) is my favorite song. That just kills me. And then a Rolling Stones song, ‘Almost Hear You Sigh.’ Some songs just pull on your heart strings, you know?”
Do you know of any Artist's Favorite Stones Songs? You rock!

I don't know about today's artists/Bands, I have to look at the people/bands who covered The Stones, one comes to mind is Bowie "Let's Spend the night together" Gram Parsons did 'Wild Horses" with the FBB, I know there's a lot of others, but I can't think of them right now.

The Rolling Stones ain't just a group, their a way of life-Andrew Loog Oldham.

Barack listed "Gimme Shelter" as #4 on his favorite songs list.  McCain's list contained no Stones songs, but it was heavy on the Abba.

I watched VH1's broadcast from the opening night of the B2B tour in Chicago.

They interviewed John Popper of Blues Traveler who claimed he was a big Stones fan.
Then he said his favorite song was 'Roses On Your Grave'.

What a pantload...

SATISFACTION is probably the most performed rolling stones tunes, covered by
Otis Redding, Devo, Gloria Trevi, Alejandra Guzmán, Vanilla Ice, Britney Spears, The Residents, The Supremes, and Cat Power to name a few

there's a (IMO) crappy cover of HONKEY TONK WOMAN by Kidd Rock and Jerry Lee Lewis. you can check it out if you dare here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhJigNH5g9Q

The Grateful Dead has covered these Rolling Stone written songs:
Empty Heart
The Last Time
Satisfaction

it is rumored but unconfirmed that Vince Welnick soundchecked START ME UP in 1994.

Bob Weir and Ratdog have covered
Satisfaction
The Last Time as well as
TANQUERAY co written by the late ivory tickler/blues great johnnie johnson and our own Keith Richards.

The rolling stones and the grateful dead and/or ratdog have both covered
Little Red Rooster
All Over Now
Not Fade Away
Around and Around
Promised Land
(I'm a) Kingbee

there might others i've forgotten

dancing in the streets: mick and bowie and grateful dead covered

Don't know how credible you think Elton John is, but I did read this:

He was talking about "Something" by George Harrison. Then he said "You know when a record starts on the radio, and it's great, and you think, 'Oh, what is this? What is this? What is this?' The only other record I ever felt that way about was Brown Sugar by the Rolling Stones". Both songs gave him "chills".

This was from a Rolling Stone article in early 2002.

Yes  really?
That's what I'm talking about. Sometimes when an artist covers a song I don't know if they are covering it Because
a. They THINK THEY CAN  DO BETTER, AS GOOD OR A DIFFERENT SOUND TO SELL A PRODUCT Blank Frigging Stare
OR b. they were told to do it  Ouch!or c. They like it and what to pay respect Retarded post
or d.they want to get some off the money a great song has brought someone else. :funny
I like to hear about Stones Songs like Checkers and Elton John did, as being reported as sayin this is a "Song I personally like".
We all got favorite songs, I'm sure for interest and example, wonder what Iggy Pop's favorite song is? Is it A Stones Song?
I used Iggy as an example cause he just came to mind.
