Just look @ the classics from this album. Brown Sugar (in my top 3 all-time Stones greats), Wild Horses, Sister Morphine, Dead Flowers & then, of course, they resurrected Sway.

I've always liked CYHMK particularly the end jam & Moonlight Mile sends me somewhere else.

A massive album....

Moonlight Mile towers over everything else on it.

probably the least championed album of the critically acclaimed quartet of BB, LIB, SF & Exile . Musically I cannot see why; has there ever been a better opening 3/4 songs to an album than BS, Sway, Wild Horses an CYHMK?? I doubt it. As for the 'slick' production, I actually like it, because the sound seems more sparse than Exile, for example, and is hence consolidated and focussed.

Astounding album, marred only by the 2nd part of CYHMK, which was unnecessary.  Contains their most memorable lines, and Mick/Keith vocals.  And Dead Flowers is the greatest country song ever done by anyone.  Mind blowing how they put that together.  Awe inspiring, I truly don't understand people who don't appreciate this music.  They're like all fucked up or something.

Sticky Fingers is in the back to back group of four of the best albums of all time. Each album evolving into the next, yet each is different. Probably, and most likely the most productive segment of any act in rock and roll history.

Sticky Fingers deserves all the credit it does get. I sort of see what some people mention here about it being the some times "over looked" one of this bunch. Still it is revered as a classic.

I see it described as brilliant. That is a good word for it. Mick's vocals as Soooo good on this one. Mick Jaggers vocals on Sticky Fingers are a mix of adolescence and adulthood. Each of which is the best of their era combined to one.

Taylor's fluid playing is something to truly marvel when hearing it on this record. The record is planted in a dark place.... not because it is purposefully dark in lyrical content, not because the production was purposefully dark....it just IS dark by the way The Stones are, how they sing and play their instruments and this darkness is constantly underlying here in their music. That folks, is TRUE darkness, not any sort of Ozzy Osbourne phony type of darkness. Sticky fingers represents true Stones. Looking back Sticky Fingers set the pace for The Stones in the seventies and molded much of what The Stones albums were to run like in years to come (and to an extent still are).

The album is self analytical. The album can be easily described as "weary". Best, and maybe most accurate of all it is described as being simply Brilliant.

I like you Billen.  You say things like that which is quoted above with such sincerity, and such indifference, if not obliviousness, to the scorn it usually arouses, that I can't help but like you.  Its just my nature.  Well, that and a bunch of booze.

SF is and always has been my all time favorite album. I bought it when it first came out, and I sat in my room every day after school playing the album loud as I zipped and unzipped the metal zipper on the cover and I thought that was MICK in his tighty whities. It was only a few years back that I discovered it wasnt MICK, it was Andy Warhol's protege.  I dont have that original vinyl album anymore, over the years I replaced it with 8 track, cassette, and CD. They started printing the vinyl album cover without the metal zipper, it was just a picture of the zipper. So I have been searching the world for the past five years for a perfect original vinly SF with the metal zipper, and just a couple months ago, a good Stones friend found it in Hamberg and bought it for 25 Euros. He sent it to me as a gift, and when I opened the package I was so fvcking excited!  YES, its in perfect condition, with the metal zipper, complete with the inside pics. AHH IT MEANS SO MUCH TO ME! I LOVE IT!  My favorite song and handle BITCH is on SF, and every song is great. Brings some serious joy into my life!
