When i saw Dark Knight, one week ago, i thought it was an excellent,
if flawed movie. I doubted i'd see a better film all year.

I was wrong.

Today, i saw 'Man On Wire', an astonishing documentary about
Philippe Petit, and his wire walk between the two towers of the WTC, in 1974.

Amazing movie.
I urge you to go see it

How the heck did he get the wire up that building and then across of them?

...and how could this not be noticed?  Blank Frigging Stare

no teather.
he walked fromone side to the other 8 times.
45 mins in total.
He sat down, he laid down, he looked down....

i've said enough - go see it.... it leaves you thinking about it,  hours aft you've left the cinema.

A remarkable story, of a group of remarkable people, of an event, that obviously, can never be repeated.

I watched the trailer. Amazing. And to think that Petit is still alive---still with us. And the towers are long gone.

For us stateside viewers, looks like NYC is the only place to see this film, could not find any other release dates in the U.S.
I've added this movie to my Netflix lineup.

i will probably wait until it comes out on dvd also....  although it does sound like a movie that would be good to see on a big screen.

Holy shit. I saw Petit do this stunt. I was working my first job, exiting the Trade Center one morning on the way to work, and there he was - walking a tightrope between the two towers.

...

Jeez, I feel like Tom Waits' "Jitterbug Boy."
