As a matter of fact Satisfaction the RS Cover band plays the Stones better than the Stones themselves, because they duplicate the songs exactly as they were originally played on the albums, and the RS cant do that anymore!

They're not meant to - thats the whole point of being a performing band.

yes, I know the RS dont duplicate the songs as played on the albums, because they dont play that way. My point is, some other guitar player could replace Ronnie by playing the songs 'by the book' and it could work.

Not sure how that means it would 'work' as it defeats the purpose of live performance to sound like a record. Do people actually go to see concerts merely wanting to hear an exact duplication of a studio recording? God help us. Maybe for bands that are predominantly synthesiser or programme-based but certainly not for a guitar-orientated band. I dont know of any proper band who attempt to do that.

Its also pretty much impossible to accurately duplicate 40 year old studio recordings anyway, I would think.

What makes the Stones The Fuckin Stones is how they take studio gems like Rambler and turn them into smoldering asskickers live.If you prefer studio reproductions then Pink Floyd is the way to go.

I believe Keith himself laid down 7 tracks of guitar for Gimmeshelter imho their penultimate recording.Always love the liner notes for LIB when most tracks just say:
