RONNIE WOOD’s fall off the wagon looks set to scupper a story he was writing with THE MIGHTY BOOSH.

Comic NOEL FIELDING and the hellraising ROLLING STONES guitarist had been collaborating on a new version of children’s story Where The Wild Things Are, to be featured in a new Mighty Boosh book.

The original, by MAURICE SENDAK, is a kids’ classic — I loved it when I was a nipper.

It’s about a boy named Max who is sent to his room without supper for making mischief in his wolf costume.

He then dreams up a mythical forest where he is the king of the Wild Things, but gets lonely and comes home to find his supper waiting for him in his bedroom.

It’s quite apt for Ronnie, given his wayward lifestyle since his fling with Russian lover EKATERINA IVANOVA.

Until now, the rocker and the comic — both skilled artists — had made good headway on the project which centred on Ronnie’s journey to a wild fantasy land.

Sounds like a normal night out with fellow Stone KEEF RICHARDS.

Noel wanted his and Ron’s take on the story to be the centre-piece of The Mighty Book Of Boosh, due out on September 18.

But work on the lavish tribute has ground to a halt while the rock wildman tries to sober up. Fielding may now be forced to scrap the entire project.

A source said: “Ronnie and Noel had been motoring along quite happily.

“They’ve come up with some fantastic illustrations and the project was well on course to being a major part of the book.

“But, with Ronnie back on the booze and shacked up out of the country, he is uncontactable and deadlines are looming.

“Noel’s been pulling his hair out as he really wants to finish their work together, but he admits it’s looking likely they’ll have to shelve that section of the book.”

Rockers THE THIRST have the hump with Ronnie, too.

The band — on the Stone’s record label, Wooden — have had to put their current plans on ice while Wood isolates himself.

They were Ronnie’s first signing and, with the label chief out of action, it means, in effect, they are too.

Their first album was out in May. But since Ron got stuck into white Russians of both kinds, progress has stalled.

Ronnie better sort his act out soon, or the consequences will be worse than being sent to bed without any supper.

Ron to Russian with love

RONNIE Wood’s Russian girlfriend giggles as she reads a soppy love note thought to be from the boozy rocker.
The handwritten letter to pretty Ekaterina Ivanova said: “Know that I’m thinking lovely things about you.”

Ekaterina, 20, smiled when she read the note as she walked outside her flat with a male pal.

She laughed when she saw the writer had also drawn a heartshaped smiley face with a beard on the small piece of paper.


And at the bottom, the writer added: “It’s HARD work in here” – suggesting it may have been sent by Ronnie, who is in rehab battling a booze addiction.

An onlooker said: “Eka was smiling and giggling when she read the love letter as all teenage girls would if a boyfriend wrote them a note.

“It’s strange to think it could be from a man more than 40 years older than her.”

Cocktail waitress Ekaterina wore a short red-chequered dress, a cardigan and black plimsolls when she left the shabby flat in Camden, North London, yesterday.

She previously said she loves Rolling Stone star Ronnie, 61, and plans to stand by him as he battles an addiction to alcohol.

Our revelations that Ronnie had left his wife Jo, 53, to go on a three-week bender with Eka in Ireland shook the music world.
