Caught the Garnier Recile Duo tonight in Asbury Park.

Weird that a buncha other dudes were up there pantomiming along with 'em all night...

No Bruce..

I wondered about it anyway, as Eric Clapton was at Bob's show during the "baseball tour" and only played with Junior not Bob!!.. He must be getting to be a finicky old man I guess.

This from a review on Boblinks that attested to the fine sound in Convention Hall:

"Encores:  They are all good, but now we are expecting Bruce to join in:

Show ends:  Get this: we get to watch an obviously unhappy Bruce
Springsteen walk across the floor in front of the stage to let us know he
was there to play and was shut down.  Again, we were all saying that we
expected a lot of Bruce fans to be showing up in hopes of this and we did
not expect it to.  But after hearing about the rehearsals and watching
Bruce stroll out of the building in front of us, you couldn't help but
feeling pissed at Bob.  That's how tonight was.  Not a great Bob night and
he blew off Bruce.  Goodnight"

Story is bullshit.
Bruce was there with Patti, and they left the same way they came in - through a side stage door.

Was Bruce supposed to play?
According to folks I know that work at Convention Hall, they were told that he'd be joining Bob for three songs.

However, nobody - including those same people - seemed to know if there were any songs rehearsed.
And often as not the soundchecks are done sans Dylan.

One thing I did notice was that the setlist at Bob's keyboard was changed moments before they hit the stage.

I'm not terribly disappointed that Bruce didn't play because it would've been inaudible anyway.

Worst. Sound. Ever.

I'm so happy for those of you who are catching Bob on this leg of the tour.  It's fun to see him put a few gems in the set-list. Wink

I have bad news about the shows we were planning to attend.  We are ticketed for 7 shows and now have learned that we are unable to attend any of them. My husband lost his job on Friday and we are in shock.  So we have tickets to sell for Tulsa, Kansas City, possibly Snowmass (we are still deciding about this show) Park City Las Vegas (we have killer seats for this show) Santa Monica and Temecula, CA.

If anyone is interested please send me an email to this address: [email protected]

Keep on rockin' you gainfully employed rollers!

peace out,
Martha

Sorry to hear that, Martha.

Might want to try the discussion forum at www.expectingrain.com or the Ticket Exchange at the Never Ending Pool - http://tinyurl.com/6ppbwj

And there's always StubHub.

Best of luck with both the tickets and the job sitch...

Thanks LJ Leftie and Sway Sister Meg. I am so nervous ( I have an anxiety disorder and go into terrible back pain when I am too nervous, in fact I just came out of a 7 day stint being in terrible pain at the beginning of this week flet good for about 40 minutes and then I was hit with altitude sickness and dizziness and migraines....sigh, I am not employable) this is a hard thing to take but I have to believe that something better is coming through that other door. Smiley

Your kind words hold me in the light.  I will call you sisters!

love and thanks,
Martha
