De hecho Charlie no estuvo ahí cuando tocaron los rollin´stones, o al menos así lo postearon en su facebook oficial:
@Charlie Watts está en Marquee Club.

On the 12th July 1962,
Charlie Watts was due on stage at the Marquee Club, Oxford Street, London, to play drums with Alexis Korner’s Blues Incorporated. With much excitement,
the band had to cancel at the last minute because they'd received a booking to play BBC Radio’s 'Jazz Club' show live that evening. Fortunately, a new, recently formed band, made up of some boys who were huge fans of Blues Incorporated, were able to take their place at the Marquee, for their first ever gig. The young men’s names were Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Ian Stewart, Dick Taylor and on drums, Mick Avory. Almost 6 months to the day later, Charlie took to the stage for the first time as drummer in this band, The Rolling Stones. The rest is history.
Happy anniversary to the Rolling Stones!
