You think they’re going to release a new album before Christmas 2024, then take the entirety of 2025 off? Then start a tour in Latin America in 2026? That is completely ridiculous and definitely not happening.

I agree with leonid...tbh I cannot see them release an album this year even tho I'm obviously hoping for it, but in order for it to be out in December at the latest, they probably would have to be back in the studio within the next few weeks and finish it up, but Mick said they still need to write and then record some more songs, it's not like they got it all done and just need to mix it, so it takes time...but after this tour they all deserve a break, they're 80...the earliest I see them back in the studio is October and that would leave them less than 2 months...not happening

If they're releasing another new album soon (which I guess will simply be called Hackney Diamonds 2), then maybe that will happen in April/May and the European tour will start in June, which would make perfect sense

But maybe they need more time to work on the album and will tour Europe with HD and not HD2 already...

I think a new album and Europe tour is totally possible in 2025. Jagger even hinted as much.
But the idea of them releasing a new album in 2024 then doing nothing for the entirety of 2025 is insanity. Not happening. No way.

Yeah, totally agree, they are so eager and hungry for touring these days and are having a total blast (okay Mick looked utterly done by the end of the last few shows and couldn't even smile anymore during final bow in Ridgedale :/ so give him a break, he more than deserves it) but the will to continue is definitely there amd strong, so they will be back on stage as soon as possible and not wait a year and do nothing (granted they all hopefully stay fit), and if they feel Europe next summer would be the right time for the next shows, then so be it...

I was honestly surprised tho to hear there wouldn't even be a handful of South American shows early next year, would have been perfect to stay in form, but maybe they are planning to work on the album and promote its release then...would be a possibility too, maybe release it in April and play a single show like at the Racket and then keep on rehearsing a bit more and start the tour soon after...that's at least what I would bet on

okay, i admit i did slightly misspeak. i didnt mean them taking 2025 off
entirely, just not doing any big tour...

so, new album late this year AND another new album late next year

transitioning their themes, their sound-on-record, and their audience
away from the white bread-teen vogue cosmetics ad cover art-
elton-mcartney politically correct version of the Stones we got
on Hackneyed into something much more in keeping with
their controversial legacy and how powerful and funky and soulful
they still sound live

Someone on FB posted about apparently a show in Paris in the making for next year...would love to go to Paris again! Tho I'm not sure if anything could top 2022 there, this show in Paris was among my top 2 along with Hyde Park 1 <3

2 in Spain, interesting...when was the last time they played 2 shows there? I'm curious about rumours for Germany...praying it's not gonna be Munich again (the Olympic stadium is the most dreadful venue ever and staff ALWAYS seems to be entirely incompetent there...plus annoying snobs who run out before the encore and yell at you for standing cause they "bought a seat") but thankfully that's unlikely...I want Frankfurt since I live there, could save hotel+travel costs Tongue

They played 5 shows in Spain in 2007 https://rocksoff.org/2007.htm

But you´re right in one way, since then they have also palyed one show in 2014, 2017 and 2022

Check out the Stats page (the only part on Gazza's setlist that was my idea and was created by me based on Gazza's information)

They have played 26 shows in Spain in 11 different years (1976-2022)

fyi, on iorr "mpj200" is generally considered to be an insider...

fwiw, mpj200 just dropped the following tidbit on iorr's "euro tour 2025" thread...

its not enough for me to categorize it as "the second shoe"

so i'll instead describe it as "the first sock"

You must be talking about Aerosmith xD seeing how both Mick and Ronnie have been hinting at more touring to come, and multiple concert promoters as well as well-connected music journalists have been mentioning concrete negotiations and even places for them to play in Europe next year the tour seems highly likely...

As long as Mick, Keith and Ronnie are fit, they will tour

And if they truly already have 3/4th of the next album done, they could even finish it up this autumn/winter, release it in spring, and tour behind it in summer, and follow the plan/timeline that they originally had for 2023 and that was crossed due to vinyl pressing delays, but seeing how they know about this issue beforehand now, I'm sure that as the cunning businessman that Mick is, he is totally taking this into account this time round...

From what mpj200 said I think October/November is far too soon for a new album release, this would mean that they already would have to work on it again rn, and I kinda doubt that they wouldn't at least take a few weeks off to chill after this long tour, at least Keith and Ronnie, Mick is crazy enough to just keep working, that workaholic knows no chill lol
anyway, my guess is first single no sooner than December/January and new album March/April just in time to play it live during the European summer tour starting late May/early June

I agree that the idea of them getting the album out by christmas is
implausible IF the situation is as mpj200 stated, that is, quite
a bit of work remaining.  But I think both 1) the work on most of the
tracks was completed long before now including lyrics and vocals,
and 2) yes, despite the lack of leaks/rumours, except for the week
or so off for mick's birthday, they have indeed been recording two
or more brand new tracks, fulfilling keith's forever-wish to get the
band into the studio while they're still road-sharp

A friend sent me an article about the cancelled Taylor Swift shows last night...it's heartbreaking for the fans but at least the police did a good job...tbh idk why they all had to be cancelled even after they already caught the guy, but on the other hand, after just being able to literally RUN into that very same stadium 2 years ago for the Stones show without anyone stopping me and others, nobody looking at my bum bag...it probabpy was the best decision, seeing how they were too fucking dumb to handle the entry properly...I mean we were just crazies who wanted to be in front row, but if someone with a bomb or gun could just run in as well....

I don't think the guys just took one week off after the tour and then went right back at it...however, I have a very strong feeling that Mick and Keith probably are gonna meet up quite soon to discuss all further matters Cheesy
In 2022 they also started working a bit again in late August/early September already before ptoperly resuming in early October...would imagine it to be similar this year
