...but for me still fascinating: an entire hour from the same rehearsal,
this vid was posted only three weeks ago. I don't think they hit the groove
on anything else quite as hard as on "Hot Stuff". But they come
reasonably close on "Hear Me Knocking" and "Heart of Stone".
And both of the other tunes, "Don't Stop" and "Torn and Frayed",
have their moments.

Notes: 1) the narration disappears after a few minutes 2) the
sound drops out at times 3) the between-songs set-up time
is significant 4) Lisa's role is interesting, she continuously
adds to the energy, always pumping them up a bit 5) After
Mick leaves, Keith does "Happy" to close the "show"

about two years ago, a new channel appeared on youtube,
Yesterday's Papers, which was heavy enough on
Stones content for me to wonder if it might be a
surreptitious effort on the part of the Stones PR dept

However, despite quite a bit of excellent content, this new
channel never reallly caught on, amassing so far only 36K
subscribers.

So it seems circumstantially likely that this new vid on the
Stones own channel represents a change of strategy, that is,
to have Yesterday's content at least occasionally fed
directly via the Stones' own channel, with its 2.1 million
subscribers...

1) The promo was taken down as soon as the 3-hour episode aired
2) Was the song part of the original broadcast? I don't know. But it
was NOT part of the re-broadcast I fast-forwarded through on my
friend's streaming service, even though the official name of the
episode was "Gimme Shelter"
3) One-time or very-limited use licenses have been around hollywood
for a while now. A song that is part of the original broadcast or theater
release may disappear from subsequent releases on DVD or streaming

The latest from YP, with a lot of details that are new to me

In recent years, the cover version by Ciara has probably gotten even
more use in soundtracks than the Stones original. Ciara's has also
been extremely popular with dance troupes, and in that regard
i don't think anyone will ever top the 3.8 million views for this vid
by a platoon of Ukranian strippers...

Here's the actual scenes (the cello arrangement is very nice i think)







3) Valerie Broussard's version from the "Inhumans" soundtrack (2019),
used in this next video to "prove" my point, that the song's dark vibe
matches up with nearly everything these days

Perhaps surprisingly, there doesnt seem to be a joujouka-ish version

(i mean, there are versions in every other genre)

however this North African version is certainly related...





much more distantly related is my favorite orchestral version, by
Ramin Djawadi, from the Westworld series (9 million views)

(it was background for a number of ultra-violent scenes
