Stones Friends & Family blue tongue metal plate

Hi all,

First time on here with kind of a mysterious question. I went to see the band yesterday in Brussels with my wife and 2 young daughters aged 9 and 15 in the pit. I was happy to see my musical education payed off as the two youngsters enjoyed themselves tremendously and later acknowledged they knew almost the entire set list.
Sometime during the show there was a cool guy with snakeskin boots, long jacket who wore a Stones Friends & Family who handed my both my daughters a blue metal tongue logo. My girls happily accepted the logo but were wondering what is the story behind it. The guy had many more logos to hand out. I couldn’t ask him so was wondering whether anyone on this board knows or has seen this.

and now The Case of the Friends and Family Blue Tongue

Perhaps it all ties together to solve The Case of the Fully Finished Leak from last year ?!

I could not see the image...BUT...

I suspect he was just a superfan (like us) of a sorts that was
happy to be in the spirit of the evening and share
the love with others around him. Quite a nice gesture if so.
Though the jacket thing does lend itself to ask, "Who was that masked man?"

Our own Sweet Virginia has a similar move.
She has pins made specifically for
each show and hands them out to ROers, friends,
old and new at every show (at least every show I have seen her at).

Hmm, this is indeed a decent little mystery

even though, as i said, it will never be solved

a prototype promotional item that was never used ?

they could attach any number of interesting doo-dads utilizing the hole

Frederik, the next pic we'd love to see is the "Stones Friends & Family"
guy, especially his t-shirt (or whatever item of clothing it was).

Its a phrase that has shown up with increasing frequency in recent years,
pertaining to those who have access to certain dinners and parties
and screenings etc

so perhaps these tongues were used for admission to one such event ?
difficult to counterfeit

I've uploaded a panorama picture of the Brussels stadium. The cool guy is pictured on it in the middle with glasses and a hat. He's wearing his jacket in his hands at that moment (it was 29 degrees Celsius at that time!). He was right in the VIP section, just behind Diamond Pit A.

it seems certain that he's not a complete unknown

and i've got no argument with your "cool guy" description

"rich guy" too i think. Large sterling octopus tentacle necklace.
Shirt studded with sterling silver stars. $700 shades.

(F, did you happen to follow his movements? see who he associated with?
where/when he exited? Probably didnt stay amidst the masses for
the whole show... )
