Count me among those who tend to believe that Keith did indeed
utilize blood changes as one way to deal with heroin detoxing.
I don't think its any kind of perfect cure, but I do think it
probably gives you at least a temporary leg up. And whether Keith
did it or not, there certainly was a Swiss clinic that offered such
treatments for the wealthy back in the 70s, not only for addiction,
but more commonly for a whole range of age-related ailments...
I don't know what the science was back then, but currently there
are a number of ongoing clinical studies of using young blood
to re-vitalize the aged, with results that are characterized as
"promising." And you can now buy yourself in and get yourself two
and a half pints of youth for a mere $8000...
Young blood an elixir that prevents age-related diseases, study reveals
https://news.sky.com/story/drinking-young-blood-could-prevent-age-related-diseas...I admit I'm kinda repulsed by the thought of the youth of poor
third-world countries getting milked of their blood like farm animals
for the benefit of the world's elite. But I'm probably just being
over-sensitive, since a pint of top shelf stuff will no doubt net the
strapping young peasant a nice chunk of change that otherwise he or
she would have to do without.
Still, I'd say Mick's anti-aging recipe is better. Don't steal their blood,
just steal their souls just enjoy their company.
