Rock on!
Write something about this... do you remember when you hear the dialup modem before connecting? Well we're that old

Argh. That awful noise. Remember it?
In the late 90s in the UK using the internet was the price of a phone call. So we would try and limit our use until after 7 pm when the rate was cheaper. Invariably it was followed by an engaged tone because half of the US (who were getting online for almost nothing) were connecting at the same time. One night it actually took me two hours to get online! And if someone tried to phone you on your home phone it disconnected you! My wife went fucking ballistic when we got our first few phone bills after we got the internet. It was only when British Telecom lost the monopoly for telephone connections and other operators were offered cheaper internet connections that things changed.
