I just got back from Orlando. It worked out great, I ended up with Lowers for $100 with a clear view. Met up with a bunch of friends pre -show for some buds and not the King of Beer, the other kind, and some wine, so I was feeling goooood.
Lots of people outside the venue looking for tickets, very few were being sold by scalpers.
We heard the band do the sound check. Nothing was working for me technically, no cell phone coverage, no Facebook or Twitter, it kept wanting me to install a program and then it wouldn't accept my password, a bunch of shit so I turned it off and didn't periscope even though I practiced it and it worked ahead of time. Then it said nobody was following me or some such crap so I didn't bother with any of it.
On to the show. It was about 9:20. As everyone was getting in their seats, I was trying to go up in front to check out any empty seats. I get in the elevator just by the stage. There was 3 of us in there: the elevator operator, me and Darryl Jones. I go "Darryl, HI, its me, BITCH from NJ, I post on your website and shit. We've met in NY a few times. We took pictures!" He goes, "Oh yeah, hey" (very low key) So I said "I'm so excited and pumped up for the show! Are you pumped?" And he says "NO, NOT YET!" I said "the show is starting in 10 minutes so you better get pumped up man! Its my first show of the tour and I'm so excited!! Yeah man tonight is gonna rock!" I'm jumping up and down and acting like a crazed fan and he smiles and says "OK this is exactly what I needed to see, I'm going out there and gonna give it," and his face lights up with a huge smile! So his mood changed from 0 to 60 in an elevator minute. He gets out and I say to the elevator operator "that was the bass player for the Stones" and he just looks at me, duh.
On with the show! All I can say is MOONLIGHT MILE. I can honestly say it was a mighty fine experience, my mind was transported back to 1971 (or was it 72) and I was so amazed that it sounded so great. My bf kept saying, are you ok? Yes! It was like tears of joy but without the actual tears, pure love baby, I am so happy to have heard that beautiful tune. ADTL, Bitch, and Shes So Cold totally rocked. The boys are bringin it loud and clear. Sympathy was kind of off beat in spots but everything else was perfect! The Stones are absolutely old pro's and know how to put on a show. All the people around us were dancing and having a great time. THERE IS (almost) NOTHING THAT I CAN DO IN LIFE THAT IS MORE FUN THAN A ROLLING STONES CONCERT! Totally addicted. Cant wait for Nashville, and I'm leaving tomorrow.
