8.30 seemed a very odd time as most of the people the announcement was tailored to would barely be awake and probably not at a computer.

Some gossip on Facebook that it may be Monday.

If it's delayed, surely it's not too much to ask of the official channels to confirm that ASAP considering they've been teasing everyone now for almost a week about an announcement happening today .

Very amateurish if they leave people hanging all day with no info released either way

So as it seems, Jagger and Richards are in NYC at this time...maybe something this afternoon will emerge.

Ronny is paying in London tonite and Charlie is brushing his stallions.
Though not a major tour, I would have expected all 4 to be together to announce it.
could their complacency finally be coming to the surface?

If the 8:30 time was correct ( there never was any true confirmation), I bet Jagger is furious right now. If it was not correct, I bet he is still pretty mad that this makes the Stones look a tad foolish. Anyway, Thursday is Thursday...we still have all day to wait and see.

The Rolling Stones may be more than 50 years into their career, but the rock band remains masterful at building a buzz.

A North American summer tour — an outing that includes the band's first Indianapolis date since 1994 — is expected to be announced soon, but perhaps not as soon as the band has hinted.

Through billboards and Twitter posts, the Rolling Stones zeroed in on "Thursday" when promoting upcoming news.

INDIANAPOLIS STAR

Rihanna and Zac Brown Band top Final Four concert bills

On Wednesday night, Nashville, Tenn., TV station WKRN-2 reported that "an issue with the nationwide promoter's ticketing" is shifting the tour announcement to a date later than Thursday.

A tour does appear to be in the works, according to the station's interview with Nashville mayor Karl Dean.

The mayor talked about an announcement event at LP Field, home of the Tennessee Titans. Without confirming the event was related to the band, Dean paraphrased lyrics to four Rolling Stones songs in his answers.

It's only a tour leg. Plenty of those have been announced by Mick only in the past. Others - including even the 2012 shows - featured a video of the band that was pre recorded.

Well, I didn't expect a spokeswoman to say anything other than a vague "we'll let you know when we'll let you know". It's not like she'd analyze it for us, they've never been known to do so in the past.

I'm sure it's just some business glitch that needs to be worked out. Since they've come so close to announcing the tour, it's not like they're gonna call everything off at the last minute.
