"Farewell Concert!?  That's pretty funny."

Right???!!!
I never noticed that before.
I wonder if it's a reference to them cancelling the South American leg and ending the 75 Tour of the Americas in good ol Buffalo.

I still stand by my teenage heartthrob theory that they knew I was in the "Aud" in June and needed to come back to me in August!!!  Ouch! Have you no fucking shame?

If true and the venue is Ralph Wilson (formerly Rich Stadium), it will mark 40 years since my first stadium show in August of 1975. 40 YEARS!!! Time to bring it home again. Very meaningful to me.

Delighted for you. If the Stones finally played my hometown (they disgracefully havent done since 1965) I dont think I'd need to go to another show again.

Seems to be really taking shape now, going by various reports and rumours.

Perm any 15 shows from :

San Diego
LA
Denver (red Rocks)
Columbus/Cleveland
Pacific North-west
another mid-west venue (I've heard Noblesville, In mentioned)
Pittsburgh
Atlanta
Fort Lauderdale/Tampa
Buffalo
NY/NJ
Dallas/Houston
Eastern Canada

No doubt one or two of these places may get more than one show - and I've probably missed a couple of possibles/probables that just havent been widely rumoured.

I'd be very surprised if they play two cities in southern California and miss out the north of the state completely as they always sell plenty of tickets there.

Its also quite possible that Mexico might be included on this leg of the tour instead of the South American one (as was the case when they went there in 1998). Makes more sense logistically. Dont know if Voodoo has heard anything.

Plenty of outdoor sheds and ampitheatres seem to be under consideration this year which is probably a bit of compromise between arenas and stadiums - although saying that, Red Rocks is very small for a Stones concert.

I guess they liked the Berlin experience last year. I know I did.

I keep hoping Joey!

Although Kemper is a pit now.  The city is talking about tearing it down.

The Sprint Center, which is owned by AEG, would be good.  There is also Sporting Park that holds about 25,000 and if they want a big midwest venue there is always Arrowhead Stadium.

Seems a long shot to me as I dont think theyve played Indiana since 1994 - and that show was poorly attended.

But there's seemingly no Chicago date, and Noblesville is about 180 miles away and has an outdoor ampitheatre/shed that holds about 25,000.

You never know, I suppose.

Thats interesting. Thanks.

AEG were involved with the 50 and Counting Shows werent they - and all three venues used (including the 02 in London) are AEG venues.

I dont think they'd have exclusive rights though and I cant imagine a deal with them would prevent shows from taking place at other venues. That Indiana place I mentioned earlier is a Live Nation venue, I believe.

Farmer's Field in LA is still under construction so we can rule that out.

I'm just reading on facebook speculation that the LA show will be at Dodger Stadium

I'd personally be horrified at the thought of being run over by a car and found to have a ticket for a show at a place called 'Jiffy Lube Live' in my wallet when the police are rummaging through my belongings looking for ID.

Here's the kicker...it is listed as Bristow but is on the border of Manassas VA.(as in the Stephan Stills side project)..

Jiffy Lube in Manassas... Ask TomL and Nanky about it...I am sure they have been many times as it is in their neck of Virginia.

in case you dont know it, Jiffy Lube is a 30 min oil change chain here in NA...oil change with the complimentary upcharge for 27 extras with their "free" 30 point check-up.

Used to be the Nissan center...horrible place for a show due to traffic in/out...though it has gotten better I understand since they added more access. It's about 20 years old...seen about a dozen shows there including Neil Young and Crazy Horse from the proverbial front row center....also Bowie/NIN, Further, HORDE, Aerosmith, Kiss, and others. Even proposed to my wife there while Peter Gabriel sang "In Your Eyes".

What does this mean?

The interstate reference, I mean - not you running around with your 'hog' out.

For those of us not living in the US and who have no concept of where road names lead to, unless they're on a Bruce Springsteen record.

Ah ok. Just checked a map. It runs north from Kansas City, through a bit of Nebraska,  Iowa and the Dakotas.

Guess thats the 'mid west' show then.

Driving 'down' it from Omaha (ie going south) would be to Kansas City, I suppose.

Since this appears to be a new Tour as opposed to a contination of 50 and Counting, I'm wondering how much they'll change things up other than the absence of Taylor.

Different/new stages?
Different setlists?
Loss of the choir on YCAGWYW?

We need an announcement SOON.
All of the speculation is driving me crazier than I already am.

FYI
Farmers Field in Los Angeles does not exist and perhaps never will. The "planned" Farmers Field is currently the LA Convention Center which is next door to Staples Center.

With other proposals for football stadiums in different areas it makes it more unlikely a stadium will be built there in the near future.
