Marvin's nickname is the Paranoid Android.
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvin_the_Paranoid_AndroidI can't believe this. You've been posting under that name for all these years and you don't know this. And freaking Mr. Yeats doesn't know what EOMS is. What's going on around here?!??!

ANYWAYS, I was a Duranie, so I know there's no way that, as a 17 old boy, you could have admitted this to anyone! Interestingly, cool-o-meter rag Vice published an article a few years back saying how Duran Duran were actually really good and rocked and how that was safe to say now. So the hipsters are behind us, if that makes you feel any better. I know it doesn't make me feel better. ;-p
Your list does not make me puke, though I never liked The Cure or The Smiths. I also loved Bananarama, particularly Siobhan Fahey (whose son is now Georgia Jagger's boyfriend), who I think proved her mettle with Shakespear's Sister. My favorite Duran member was Andy Taylor, and to that end I once went to see Power Station at the House of Blues here in Chicago and ended up doing blow backstage with Tony Thompson who then absconded with my ID, as he had been using it to cut lines.
