Rush actually have musical talent. Some would argue that they have so much musical talent that their respective instrumentalists are the best in the business. Geddy Lee was often listed up there with Entwistle and Macca as being the best bassist in rock, and the same could be said for Peart.
Even if you don't like their music, or Geddy's "clothespin on the testicles" vocal range, you have to give it up for their musicianship.
all neil peart did his whole life was rip moonie and bill bruford, both who piss on him. geddy lee's voice in all of its phases is annoying, and entwistle also pisses on him. the serbian dude, well, dunno, maybe he's masochistic and likes to hang out with these two chumps?
for good prog, try king crimson from 1973 (when bruford got in) till nowadays - which is bound to be completely nuts, what with fripp teaming with mel collins (sax player from the 1970-72 bands), the dude from 21st century schizoid band (a band comprised of '69-72 kc members playing the old tunes) replacing adrian belew on guitar and vocals, good old tony levin and THREE drummers. fripp may be a tool, but he's got a good knack for doing good music, especially if you like codeine.
sorry for the bad english but i'm a brazilian and i'm too lazy to use capital letters. on occasion. ummm, yeah.
the eagles? just heard that hotel california song and heard everybody and their mother in the world saying they suck so why bother trying em? can anybody give me a good reason?
