Yo, Android. I listened to it a couple more times (albeit on crappy little computer speakers), and , ya know, it's not so bad as I originally made it out to be.
Don't get me wrong - I love the whole remix ethic and concept (whatever that means), and I've loved lots of of remixes/dance/club mixes from all sorts of artists through the years. It's just that, to my ears, dated 130 BPM electro/house beat which has long out stayed it's welcome. It's like: everybody's using the same technology these last few years (Protools and whatnot) that often stuff can sound very "samey", literally generic. (same thing happened with a lot of hip hop in the early '90's as well, causing musical stagnation for the genre, I reckon).
But anyway, I am glad the Stones still do it and keep up and prove their shit's as vital and contemporary as anyone's (just wish they could do some remix/dub/dance things as brilliantly as they pulled off on "Undercover" and "Too Much Blood"; those don't sound dated to me at all).
