Now, here’s a cherry on the sundae for all the VH fans out there: A never-before-seen video of all four members of the band performing an acoustic version of their hit “You Really Got Me.”

This tune, of course, is the band’s well-loved cover of the Kinks classic, which VH adopted for their 1978 self-titled debut. It’s been more than three decades since the original came out–but this is the first time VH has filmed an acoustic version of it.

The video is shot at Henson Recording Studios and includes a personal introduction from Roth, as well.

Roth nutshelled his opinion of the new clip for us: “Culturally our new video is old school meets new school. Kind of like watching Dragnet on your iPad.”

Ok then, hope to hell those of you that want to get these can figure out a way to do it 'cos they're well worth it:

highlights:

Blood & Fire - the solo is old school, great to hear Ed wail on it !
The Trouble with Never - Wah wah world; great solo; cool vibe all the way through; a trip - nothing like you've ever heard from VH in any era !

This album is going to be FUCKING AWESOME..........and different/retro/cool, if these are anything to go by.

Happy days !

Listening to it right now... bare with me.

First and second verse are pretty much identical in pacing and dynamics...

DLR repeats the line "now look at all the people here tonight",

Song changes gear into a sweet bridge. Fantastic lyrics by DLR, I think the fans will like the last couple lines.

Great solo. You'll dig it. The whole band really comes together here, pushes the solo along... This is a good song.

What you need to do though, is hear this against "The trouble with never". "Blood and Fire" finishes, and "The Trouble With Never" punches you RIGHT in the nose

The chorus of "The Trouble With Never" is IMO a great attempt to regain the sound of CVH.... do they pull it off....? You'll be the judge. I think so.

I heard from someone who is reviewing ADKOT for a magazine and he says that 'You and Your Blues' and 'China Town' scorch every track we've heard so far.

What this says to me is that we now know that VH have made a good record, but it's possible they've made a great record.
