Have become somewhat resigned to the inevitability of this over the last few days and weeks, but its still hard to take in and accept I'll never hear that mad cackling laugh again.

Its really hard to do her justice in words. To quote an old song lyric "Thats someone you never forget". When you meet her even once, I guarantee it stays with you always. Unforgettable. After those few days we had in Dublin, Lisbon and Madrid on our Stones trip, I knew I'd met someone who would always be one of the most special people in my life.

Your suffering is over, kid, but I'll never forget you.

Rest in Peace Mary. I also thought she would be able to make it and that after hip surgery that she would be able to make it to a Stones show one of these days. I will be looking for her on Keith's amp at the show in Las Vegas this Saturday. My deepest condolences to Betty and all of Mary's friends. LJ you are the true Saintofme for all you did to try to help Mary. God Bless You!

I have been expecting to see the candle up for Mary for some time now, but when I came home after working the graveyard shift and saw it on Shidoobie I was still shocked! The last time I talked to her she told me she couldn't endure anymore and was hoping to die...this is a merciful passing, rest in peace Mary Scura!

I don't visit here very often,but I looked at page 1 of this thread and by the time I got to page 44,I was moved to tears .

I can see that Mary is now at peace,no pain anymore,and watching and listening this tour sitting on Keiths' amps.

Never met Mary ,but after seeing the photos of her with her Rolling Stones pals ,I feel I knew her.

You all gave her so much support and it obviously gave her a lot of joy and encouragement.

God Bless you Mary and condolences to all her friends and family, especially her wonderful Mom.

I hate being the bringer of bad news, but I see no other post besides the header concerning Mary. She has passed on. What a strong person and good friend she was to many of us. I dunno... I suppose I will just go on about my day here in Ohio.. BUT not without a certain sadness in my heart. I did not know her real well, but she was indeed a friend on here and such. She is at rest and without suffering now.

Any Thoughts are welcome

rest in peace my sweet stones sister... never met ya but i sure did know ya..

hep c aint no joke people... get tested and get treated ... ive been clear for 6 months now, unless i get reinfected im basically 'cured' ... mary never even go the chance to try treatment as far as I know, by the time she found out it was too late

recommendations are now for everyone who was born between 1950 something and 1970 something should be tested ...
