" CBS worker arrested in Letterman blackmail plot "

" NEW YORK – The Manhattan district attorney is planning a news conference to talk about the CBS News employee accused of trying to extort $2 million from David Letterman.

Letterman admitted to his television audience that he had sexual relationships with female employees, and that the plot involved making him pay to keep this information private.

The news conference is scheduled for late Friday morning.

CBS says that an employee of the show "48 Hours" was arrested for the plot. The DA says the suspect lives in Connecticut. CBS wouldn't identify him, but a person with knowledge of the investigation identified him as Robert J. Halderman. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because authorities have not released the suspect's name "

What a two faced, hypocrite Dave is! It couldn't have happened to a more deserving jerk! Kinda funny when he makes fun of Sarah Palin's underage daughter getting knocked up at a Yankees game, but now he's showing great strength and humility when he gets caught cheating with several NBC staffers! ROTFLMMFAO!!! The double standard is not at all shocking. However, the willing blindness of some to ignore the blatant hypocrisy is growing old.

Ginda, please don't think that I was referring to your post. In fact I had not really read your post until after I had posted mine. So if you were under the impression that I was attacking you, please know that that was not my intent. My point is that the same people that laughed heartily at Dave's insulting jab at Palin's underage daughter, Bristol, are now trying to rally their support towards him and claim that he is somehow magnanimous in admitting to these various affairs.

The fact is that he never would have admitted shit had he not been the victim of an extortion plot. The story was going to come out once he went to the police. It would have come to light because of freedom of information. He knew he was cold busted so he decided to spill his guts on the air. I just find it revolting that some people try and claim that his admission is somehow virtuous. I'm sure his wife might feel a bit differently about that.

These are the same kind of people that are trying to plead for leniency for Polanski. Wonder what these same Hollywood libs would say had Polanski been a Catholic priest, or even, perish the thought, Mel Gibson? Do you think that they would be so forgiving or supportive? Me neither. Double standards abound in that insular Hollyweird lib bubble. That's my point.
