I Got The Blues Header

If I'm correct, this was the first time since '71 UK Tour this was played.
I recall reading many posts towards Hahtfud '99 that several Rocks Off
A listers were at this show. I had not yet developed any posting skills,
or knew that anything as prestigious as Rocks Off existed. I was a young
deer in the headlights as far as the Al Gore developed phenomena aka WWW.

Well, I will bring forward that I too was there, with three others.
I found out two days earlier that a good friend of mine & his friend were
going, so we split the cost of transport from Bahstun for the trip.
Shocked & floored to get this tune played. I recall this was also the
same night UConn won the NCAA Championship. Right after the show
was over, the final seconds were flipped on the "jumbletron" (SCL- Mayor
Menino of Bahstun "speak") I have the No Security sweat still which was
purchased that evening. Twas a great leg of that tour....

It wasnt actually played during the 1971 tour - it was ONLY played at the Marquee Tv special two weeks after it.

So, the 2nd Hartford show (29.3.99) was the first time it had been played 'on tour'.

they'd usually alternated between 'Memory Motel' and 'Moonlight Mile' at that part of the show, and we'd got 'Memory Motel' on the first night. I'd been dying to hear 'Moonlight Mile', however on reflection they made a better fist of 'I Got The Blues' on that tour.

The celebrations out on the streets after the show following UConn winning the basketball were somethin' else!

This one made my jaw drop--what a welcome surprise, and well done I thought. I remember being a bit nervous trying to make my way to the hotel after the show, the people in the streets were going nuts--I thought I was in Rio! Let's hope the Stones reprise a No Security type tour next time out.
