Rare John Lennon Items To Be Displayed In Liverpool

New exhibit...

A new exhibit featuring rare items from John Lennon's personal life is set to open at the Mersey Ferries terminal building at Liverpool's Albert Dock in Liverpool on June 17th. The exhibit is titled "White Father: The Spirit of Lennon" and is being set up by Lennon's wife, Cynthia, and son, Julian.

Julian Lennon said the following about the exhibit:

"John Lennon is an idol to millions of people who grew up loving his music and ideals, but to me he is the father I loved and lost. I hope this exhibition lets people see another aspect of his life and our time together as a family. This collection represents something of great importance to us as it is part of our history."

i think the song you remember goes something like....it's much to late for goodbye...sitting on a pebble by the river playing guitar. that song? i forgot the name of it myself but, that was a huge hit for him.

there were actually two songs..."valotte" was the sitting on the pebble by the river song....and the much too late for goodbyes song was, well, "too late for goodbyes". both, i believe, were off the same album. he came out with a followup called "the secret value of daydreaming", i believe, but it didn't go over well. kind of like this thread.

No, this is from his first wife, & Julian, the bed-in happened after he met Yoko, that was 40 years ago in May, I remember all the fuss about that, at the time they (most people & the press) thought he was crazy, I remember Al Capp (cartoonist) saying to Lennon "you go to bed with that!? (meaning Yoko) I think it's in the movie "Imagine" he really insulted Lennon, also he was making fun of that nude photo for Two Virgins (John & Yoko naked)
