I have no idea what he was looking at. There is a video out there---can't remember the venue or the song, but Brian is not in his usual place---he's all the way on the other side of Keith. And they are playing to a backing track, so Brian has the time to look around. And, yep, he looks up, to his left,  at something on the ceiling or something {not a balcony, I don't think}. He keeps looking up a lot. lol

Well, Happy Belated Birthday, you lovely person. I had no idea, otherwise I would have wished you one in a timely fashion!   I wanted to scan my fave pic of Brian for you Sioux, but it appears that I am out of magenta and that shuts the entire system down, even though the pic is in grey scale. I seriously hate my printer/scan/fax thing. It is such a nightmare and requires ridiculous things and loads of money to actually semi-work half the time without ever printing in colour, yet it still requires magenta, cyan and yellow to function in any respect.

I'm not sure who Brian reminds me of in that photo, but he does have a different look about him. I think maybe it's his eyes...

I think Brian may have had what is deemed nowadays as "ADD". It's a bullshit term for what occurs naturally in a human's mind that happens to have this particular sort of constitution.

He is just a restless soul. This is why he looks up all around and walks off in the middle of an interview, paces around, never seems at rest. Looking up is totally an ADD thing. I should know as I seem to have the same affliction...lol. I always look up, around, elsewhere, for no particular reason.

If something really interests you, then it becomes an all-consuming passion, an obsession, but otherwise, you are all over the place and don't seem to have an order about you. Looking up just means something up there temporarily caught your interest and you just have to have as much input into your brain as you can and you can't be arsed with structure.

ADD is a term that fits, in a general sense, in a psychological sense, but I don't necessarily like it as it contains the word "deficiency". I don't think it is a deficiency as much as it is just a genetically determined difference, some sort of "hardwiring" thing. It's the way your brain naturally perceives, experiences, and views the world.

Unfortunately, people like this tend to be ostracized for their different attention frames and thought patterns. It is not a deficiency. It is merely a difference. It should be respected as such (a difference) as these people have the mental and creative capability not found in others that would be deemed "normal" in this society.
