After that he was very happy and starting his own group. Unfortunately the darkness that took his life were two people in his own employment at his home, who decided he should be dead. Yes I wish he could have been saved too.

I was just reading in a biography of Steve Marriott, "All Too Beautiful". page 188, that Brian called Steve in early 69 and asked if he could rehearse with the newly forming Humble Pie. "Marriott readily agreed with Jones's offer", but a few days later Brian 'drowned' in his swimming pool.

Humble Pie was great, but they would have been REALLY great with Brian!

Other great reading when you finish could be "Happy Boys Happy" by Uli Twelker and Roland Schmidt also released as "The Small Faces and Other Stories" (the first with great pictures and the second without pictures) I bought both by accident as didn't see the authors or took a look, when I started reading I found they are the same (Ouch!)

Shit!

This book is not just about Steve Marriott but has chapters on Humble Pie, The Faces, Peter Frampton, Rod Stewart & Ronnie Lane.

This book has more Brian Jones reference including the same about Brian passing away the week of the rehearsals, Brian Jones plans to join Alexis Korner for the New Church project and a couple of additional scenes

I only get my rocks off while I'm sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeping with your girlfriend!!
