We made it through Irene...never lost power, but one of our tall pine trees decided to "visit" our neighbor's roof... Roll Eyes

A few good things, though....the house is unoccupied--a recent foreclosure. And, there is minimal damage to the roof....AND....I'm not responsible for the damage, or even for taking the tree down.

So, that is all good.

On another note, my dear Mom passed away on Aug. 7th. That's why I haven't been here as much as usual. I'm doing pretty well, and Dad is doing better than expected, although he really, REALLY misses Mom, after almost 63 years of marriage. It's been a pretty surreal month----can't forget the earthquake, centered about 25 miles from me, as well! Now I'm a bit worried about the NEXT hurricane, Katia.... Sad
