Oh that pic above is in one of the few Stones books that I have read/looked at (pardon me for ending my sentence in a preposition, please). It was something called the Stones 365 by Simon something or other? Or was it Stephen. Blimey.

They labelled him the "Troubled Adonis". I remember that one so well because he looked so young, yet so very old...

Oh, and that is definitely Brian up there with the flash coming out of his 2nd chakra. That is an unmistakable profile.

Is it this one? Simon Wells is the name you're looking for, I got it for a Xmas gift this year, it's a very thick heavy book, hard to scan the pages because of this, the last 2 photos I posted were from this book.

There is also a 365 of the Beatles.  I own the one on The Rolling Stones but not on the Beatles.  Not yet, anyway. Wink

Yep - and looks to me that he's using it on his hand- painted Telecaster which he used with the Yardbirds and the first two Zeppelin albums.

I think Voodoo might be your best help in doing that: http://rocksoff.org/messageboard/YaBB.pl?action=viewprofile;username=VoodooChild...

I met Brian early 1967, just before the ill fated Morocco trip. I was standing waiting for a bus in the rain in Brighton not knowing there were none running that day. He came along and offered me a lift to London. We made friends chatting on the trip up. I didnt recognise him, had no idea who he was till he introduced himself.

I honestly dont see it as lucky. London in the late 60s was really just a small community of freaks that all knew each other. I lived for a time in 68 next door to Nick Mason of the Floyd and we were friends as well. I actually knew a lot of the musicians, then moved to Woodstock in 70 and knew so many musicians I was tripping over them!
Ill send you a picture for my avatar soon as I get my grandaughters sorted off to bed!

My book is going to be a bit.....different. Ive taken my life and made a novel out of it since I simply cannot imagine anyone would care if I just wrote it straight. Its all true, but this way makes it more interesting I think. Its not a groupie story, I want to set that right, but it is MY story, not the story of the people I knew. It doesnt go into my Woodstock years. It centers a lot on Marrakech. It also follows Alice in Wonderland a lot since I really did go down the rabbit hole! Every person in it corresponds to an Alice character. Brian, for instance is the Dodo, since he dies in the end. Hes the rock star in the story.
