He played a lot of Gibson's too, in addition to the Vox, Gretsch, Epiphone, Fender Telecaster, Rickenbacker, etc. Even though it wasn't as good an instrument, I loved the look of the Vox Phantom Mark III....especially in Brian's hands.

@Marie, I don't know if he played piano on the actual recording but I wouldn't doubt it. I would be interested in knowing if he did as well. He was doing a pretty good job of it on this video. It's Keith at the piano and Brian on the recorder on the Ed Sullivan appearance, but I think the music for that appearance was pre-recorded. I wasn't aware Keith played piano at all.

He did have his favourites, that's for sure. I wonder how half that shite made it through the 60s, but Brian was funny like that. I think he just discarded some things like used condoms and other things he just absolutely tenaciously held on to.

Those weren't cocaine eyes. They weren't Mandrax eyes (see We Love You Video - they get all crossed when he was Mandraxxed). They aren't "I'm drunker than heck" eyes. Those were weed and/or hash eyes. I don't know why anyone would smoke that crap. It is just so nasty.

At any rate, you have to hand it to him because, if you look at the ascot (el scarfo) it picks up colours from not only the jacket, but the hat and another colour that compliments the others beautifully. He dressed himself well. Occasionally.

This was a good example, but other times it was like WTF were you thinking, Brian? You look like goshdarned Chewbacca. Well, love on you anyway, old man. God bless.
