Well so far I've booked a long weekend in Fort Lauderdale, FL for my cousin's 50th birthday party.

This summer, I'll stay close to home and buy a beach badge to LBI and sip Rum and cokes at the Jersey Shore. I live in a resort area and people pay to come here so I guess I'm lucky to live here. There's always something amusing going on in AC for some nightlife.

Wildwood, NJ, for Labor Day weekend, it's the 10 year Shidoobee Anniversary event which is going to be a Stones-rocking weekend. It's an hour's drive for me so I wont miss it, but some people fly in from all over the place just to go to it. Fvcking nuts! If anyone wants to go, it's worth it! 3 tribute bands, lots of partying, laughing, Stones music nonstop, the beach and the boardwalk, it's fun!

Plannin no expensive trips because I'm waiting for the RS tour announcement and I plan on going to every location thats within my reach. It just might bankrupt me if I dont start saving for it now.

I's rather be dead than be in Wildwood. It just seems so lame.

You know, I'm all in favor (favour) of calling a game of ball played with the feet "football" instead of "the real football," but since you Brits call a vacation a "holiday," what do you call holidays (like Armistice Day or Guy Fawkes Day, for example)?

oh I thought that too before I went. But 3 nights of RS tribute/cover bands, hanging out with Stones-loving men and women with kindred spirit gives a feeling of Satisfaction, and most of these people are die-hards, so I can relate...did I mention Stones kaeoke on the deck, RS tongues everywhere, and it's fun! Add some sun, beach, boardwalk, pizza, ice cream, so what's not to like??

Neither of the above are actually holidays (Armistice Day SHOULD be IMO), but if you mean days in which we get off work, it would be a 'public holiday' or 'bank holiday'...
