Why is it than, the UK version gets the JJF multi-angle and the UK Blu-Ray gets 4 multi-angle songs(JJF, ADTL, SG and Far Away Eyes)
Bonus features on a DVD are one thing. An extended 'directors cut' of the theatre release of a movie is another thing entirely.
Scorsese has never done this and doesnt believe in it. When you even look at his previous ventures into rock music - The Last Waltz didnt contain any additional music on the DVD re-release a couple of years ago (even though there's probably about an hour of concert footage which doesnt appear in the film) and No Direction Home just had a few small bonus features.
The original films have always remained intact. Even 'Gangs of New York', which underwent substantial editing by Miramax much to Scorsese's chagrin, didnt benefit from a 'directors cut' when it went to DVD. So, its pretty unlikely that he's going to break the habit of a lifetime for what is one of his minor releases.

While the film ("Gangs Of New York") has been released on DVD and Blu-ray disc, there are no plans to revisit the theatrical cut or prepare a "director's cut" for home video release. "Marty doesn't believe in that," editor Thelma Schoonmaker stated. "He believes in showing only the finished film."
