The tape is referred to in the article as "The JackLen Tape." JackLen means John Lennon. Ah, we can see you're interested. The author learned during a recording project concentrating on Buddy Holly covers.

The relevant part, though is the tape, which is described in two parts. The first part is a home/party recording of Southern hanging out with John Lennon (with guitar)and friends, including Donovan.

It's the second part, though, that might be more exciting. It featured John (John "Jack Len" Lennon) and Mick Jagger on guitars singing songs including "Its Only Make Believe", "Under My Thumb", "She Came In Through the Bathroom Window", "Youre So Square", "Stand by Me", "There Goes My Baby" and "Dream Lover," and trying in vain to do "How High The Moon." Then, the duo went into Buddy Holly mode, singing "Peggy Sue Got Married", "Listen to Me", "Words of Love", "Everyday", "Rave On", "Tell Me How", and "Maybe Baby"!
Seems to date from the same "Too Many Cooks" period, boot the fuc*er !
