Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards was left red faced when he had a medical for a new life insurance policy.

It appears that the legendary rocker had been dead for at least 15 years.

Keith said "I had a strange feeling in my chest back in 1993 when that thumpy thing stopped. I just thought it was normal so I paid it no mind."

The specialist who carried out the tests Dr Foster from Gloucester said "I believe that the amount of drugs and alcohol Mr Richards has consumed over the years has prevented impulses reaching his brain from other parts of the body, although his body is dead his brain has no knowledge of this."

Ouch!
